The Iguazu Falls, Iguazú Falls, Iguassu Falls, or Iguaçu Falls are waterfalls of the Iguazu River on the border of the Argentine province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Paraná. They are the largest waterfalls system in the world.

Torres del Paine National Park, in Chile’s Patagonia region, is known for its soaring mountains, bright blue icebergs that cleave from glaciers and golden pampas (grasslands) that shelter rare wildlife such as llama-like guanacos. Some of its most iconic sites are the 3 granite towers from which the park takes its name and the horn-shaped peaks called Cuernos del Paine.a

The Perito Moreno Glacier is a glacier located in the Los Glaciares National Park in southwest Santa Cruz Province, Argentina. It is one of the most important tourist attractions in the Argentinian Patagonia.

Ischigualasto Provincial Park, also called Valle de la Luna, is in northwest Argentina. Its moonlike desert landscapes contain striking rock formations in areas like the “Painted Valley” and the “Bowling Field.” Dinosaur fossils from the Triassic Period are displayed in the park's museum. Trails run up Cerro Morado, a mountain with views over the valley. Guanacos, a llama-like animal, are common in the park.

Talampaya National Park is a national park located in the east/centre of La Rioja Province, Argentina. It was designated a provincial reserve in 1975, a national park in 1997, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. 

General Carrera Lake or Lake Buenos Aires is a lake located in Patagonia and shared by Argentina and Chile. Both names are internationally accepted.

Punta Tombo National Reserve is a long, narrow peninsula on Argentina’s central coast. It’s known for its vast colony of Magellanic penguins. Trails and boardwalks weave across the arid, gravelly terrain, which is full of small shrubs and burrows where the penguins nest. Other inhabitants here include Patagonian hares, foxes, gulls and cormorants. Dolphins and whales swim offshore.

Parque Nacional Lanín is a national park in central western Argentina, at the foot of the Andes. It’s known for its many glacial lakes and the snow-capped Lanín volcano. The park is a protected area for araucaria trees and home to pumas, small deer and condors. Lake Lácar has several beaches and borders the alpine-style town of San Martín de los Andes. Chapelco Ski Resort is on the park’s southeastern edge.

The Buenos Aires Japanese Gardens are a public space administered by the non-profit Japanese Argentine Cultural Foundation in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and are one of the largest Japanese gardens of its type in the world outside Japan.

Iberá Provincial Reserve is a protected area within the vast Iberá Wetlands, in northeast Argentina. It comprises swamps, marshes and lagoons stretching southwest from the city of Ituzaingó to the town of Chavarría. Beside Iberá lagoon is Colonia Carlos Pellegrini, a popular village base for the area. The reserve is home to an abundance of wildlife, including alligators, marsh deer and hundreds of bird species.
